Archive for December, 2010The second workshop organized in by the FIRST Project was held today, 6th of December, in the Science and Technology Ministry of Argentina (MinCyT). This project is supported by the European Commission as part of the Seventh Framework Programme(7FP). The main objective of this meeting was creating a Steering Council and the different Working Groups of the Argentinean Technology Platform, which was given the name of PLATA.
On December 1, UTEM hosted a workshop convened by the FIRST project, funded by the European Commission (Seventh Framework Programme), which aimed to define an initial Steering Committee and Working Groups for the Future Internet Chilean Technology Platform, thenceforth named MACHI.
MACHI is a network that gathers ICT Chilean stakeholders in order to foster international cooperation in R&D projects. Chile already have organizations that participated in these type of projects: Pontificia Universidad Católica has just finished.
