Implementing cooperation on Future
Internet and ICT Components between
Europe and Latin America
The FIRST Event in USP is to happen on July 21, 2010. The objective of the event is to setup and present the concept of National LATPs (Latin American Technology Platforms) to the ICT R&D community in Brazil, as well as the activities, objectives and expected outcomes of the FIRST Project.
Starting at 08:00 AM, there will be a Welcome Breakfast and an Opening Session. At 09:15, Mr. Antonio Alfaro will deliver a presentation, via video conference, on European Partnership Through Open Calls, followed by an Introduction to ETPs and LATPs as well as Project FIRST, at 10:00.
The second part of the morning, starting at 11:00 AM after a coffee break, will include two Panels, one on Future Internet – The Brazilian Perspective, and the second to discuss ideas regarding multiple ICT themes. The event is scheduled to end at 01:30 PM, after a Closing
The event will take place in the auditorium of Polytechnic School of USP (University of São Paulo), in São Paulo city – Brazil. All people with an interest in the area are welcome to attend this event.
