Second National Workshop
Implementing International Cooperation Chile-European Union for
R&D in Future Internet, ICT Systems and Components
December 1st is the date for the second event organized by ALETI, who is working for the establishment of a Collaborative Network for R&D in Future Internet (Chilean Technology Platform), a community that brings together representatives from Industry (large companies and SMEs) and Academia, in order to foster and to promote a coherent approach to R & D in Future Internet in Chile. This initiative is conducted in the frame of the FIRST project, a support action funded under the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Commission.

The Chilean Technology Platform will work towards the following objectives:
- Provide a unified vision of R&D activities in the field of Future Internet in Chile.
- Identify a shared Strategic Research Agenda based on the local technological and economic considerations.
- Continuously analyze the state of the art of available technologies and the emergence of new models;
- Continuously analyze the state of the Future Internet industry’s and the economic impact of the research activities.
- To demonstrate the potential application of research results to existing business processes as well as new products and services.
- Ensure that members of the Chilean Technology Platform have a solid way of interaction.
- Act as a facilitator to establish cooperation with R&D projects nationally and internationally.
The Chilean Technology Platform is open to all players of R&D in the field of Future Internet, in particular:
- Academic and research institutions (universities, centers of excellence, research centers).
