In order to continue providing an open space for free exchange of opinion in the ICT Industry and to foster the interaction with the Academia; CINTEL, RECIIF, the Colombian Technology Platform and the project FIRST will held on May 26^th 2011 the event “Sector Analysis Roundtable for discussion of priorities in the ICT sector” from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Hotel Casa Dann Carlton in Bogota.

Since 2009, the Sector Analysis Roundtable organized by CINTEL has promoted an open space towards the identification, analysis and formulation of conclusions and recommendations regarding the hot topics in ICT in order to promote the harmonious development of the ICT sector. This initiative, that has brought together more than 40 entities in the last two years, has focused its activities on topics such as Cloud Computing, Digital Content and Incentives for mass broadband.

In line with these subjects, the project FIRST and the RECIIF community are developing the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) in Future Internet, a proposal on the priorities for R&D&I in which the Colombian Industry and Academia could focus their R&D&I activities for future projects with national and international cooperation in the field of Future Internet, particularly in the areas of mobile and wireless communications, SW & services and Networked and Electronic Media.

The event aims to present the results of the Sector Analysis Roundtable in 2010 and a framework for the analysis of the ICT sector to be held in 2011. In addition, the session will provide to the ICT sector a training on the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Commission and will provide an open space for networking within the ICT sector.

The project FIRST, RECIIF and CINTEL invite Colombian Industry, Academia and Government to participate actively in this space that aims for the development of the country and the ICT sector.
